General information

During the period from 1997 – 2006 we have performed construction and assembling works on more than 50 bridge building sites. Among those is the new overpass at Vairogu Street in Riga ( length - 860 m, width - 21 m), construction of pedestrian overpass over highway Riga-Sigulda. The enterprise “Latvijas tilti" was actively involved in the repair works of Akmens Bridge as well as in reconstruction of the bridge over Venta River in Skrunda, over Lielupe in Jurmala, the railway bridge over Milgravis and the road bridge over Milgravis in Riga.

In 2006 the company became the General Contractor in the largest project in the history of modern Latvia – the Southern Bridge (Dienvidu tilts).

Our enterprise also operates across the borders of the Republic of Latvia. Thus during the period from 1997 till 2003 "Latvijas tilti" JSC has built 15 bridges abroad. “Latvijas tilti" JSC has a daughter company in Belarus which repaired two important bridges in Minsk in 2003 and a daughter company in Moldova which successfully completed repair works of the bridge across Dnestr River in 2001. In 2002 the above-mentioned daughter company renewed a bridge over the River Reut in Moldova that was in an emergency condition and a metal construction bridge in Chisinau. In 2003 construction – assembling works were performed for two overpasses over the railway in the suburban area of Chisinau. In 2004 the daughter company performed construction of a bridge over the River Prut on the Romania - Moldova border.

In 2006 significant event in the history of “Latvijas tilti” JSC happened. In cooperation with the partners from St. Petersburg joint venture carrying truly historic name “Mostootrjad-17” was established. We hope that this event will become a new turning point in the development of our company!

In 2010 the company JSC "Latvijas tilti" signed a contract for the construction of an overpass in Central Asia. The government of Turkmenistan intends to create the best resort in the world near the city of Turkmenbashi - the tourist zone "Avaza" which is located at the east coast of Caspian sea. JSC "Latvijas tilti" has to construct an overpass on the road connecting the city airport of Turkmenbashi and the National tourist zone “Avaza”. According to the contract the construction works should be finished by March, 2011. The contractor of the project is the Turkmen subsidiary of the Russian enterprise „ПО Возрождение”. Implementing the requirements of the agreement JSC “Latvijas tilti” has registered its subsidiary in Turkmenistan bearing a name Филиал "АО "Латвияс тилти" в Туркменистане".
